Hello!
My name is Jaime Galindo and I am the owner of Jaime’s Pet Care. Ever since I was a boy, I have always had a love for animals of all kinds. I started Jaime’s Pet Care in 2002. I moved to New York City in 1985 to pursue a career in dance; and performed professionally until 2001. After retiring, I regularly cared for friends’ animals when they went away. House sitting gave me early insight into animal behaviors, such as separation anxiety, fear aggression and special dietary issues connected to the absence of an owner. I began a course of study into these behaviors and others.
My family always had dogs. We all viewed them as nothing less than members of our family. My third dog, Chico, was the one I was most connected to during adolescence.
A cocker spaniel/beagle mix - full of nonstop energy - Chico was my best friend all through middle school and high school. He taught me the magic of that kind of closeness with an animal. It seemed to me that Chico was as interested in my welfare as I was in his.
The care I provide to my clients’ beloved dogs and cats is instilled with this personal history and later my study of animal behavior. I select and train my employees with this philosophy in mind. During a walk, we may match your dog with a compatible friend while reinforcing basic canine good manners. Each one of my employees is trained in the positive reward methodology.
We never pack walk. Our maximum number of dogs walking together is four - and only with dogs who have been properly introduced.Over eighteen years ago, my extended vacation care service grew to include daily walks and puppy training and family coaching. I have enjoyed every minute of it. By putting the focus on quality, individual care and personal relationships with my clients, I have succeeded in separating myself from the corporate dog walking businesses. I am proud of Jaime's Pet Care. So many of my clients have stayed with me for years because they know that Jaime’s Pet Care is reliable and trustworthy.

Jaime is the best dog walker I have ever had. He is hands down the most reliable, hard working, and loyal dog walker you will find. He is trustworthy, honest, and truly loves and cares for your pet as if it was his own. He walked my dog for eight straight years. From 2006 when I adopted my difficult to manage rescue puppy who I loved like my first child, until 2014 when I moved out of the country. When I was working long hours in the office, he was always there for my dog. He walked her twice a day, made sure she was fed and watered, and did extra walks when I was out late. There was never a single day he or his team let me down in eight years. Eight years. He even walked downtown to Tribeca all the way from the Upper West Side when there was a massive blackout and the entire city lost power.
